I always felt the dogs put too much weight on such young shoulders at the time. The expectations that they had that he was the clubs saviour and that he alone would carry the club in the future, he was only 22 years of age from memory.Comment

The way SBW & his team chase big short term contracts in both codes of footy will become more common in the future IMO.
I dont have any problem with SBW coming to the Roosters on a 1 year deal. I know that him walking out on the dogs puts a question mark over his loyalty but I actually believe the guy is very loyal to his word. Lets be clear here, if it was all about money & fame we wouldn't be seeing Sonny back playing league at 26 or how ever young he is. So it is not about money or fame.
The guy will bring his A game I believe & have a massive positive effect on the whole club. He is not a loud showman, he is a humble devoted muslim who will bring NO negative press to the club. The guy is a winner, he makes the right choices to play footy for certain teams that improve while he plays for them.
He will be worth it, unless he is struck down with a major injury.
Cannot wait. SBW is the top of the tree. When we all see him run out in our colours you will get goose bumps I promise you.Comment

There were a few reasons why I was hesitant about the signing of SBW. His walkout at the dogs was not one of them. If you remember, it was the remnants of that hysterically illegal team that tried to cheat it's way to our title. BooHoo Bulldogs. I have a vision of SBW stomping over Perrett on his way to the try line.Comment
