  • Craig Field facing murder charge

The guy he punched unfortunately passed away: http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/l...716-224s4.html

I have never understood our soft assault penalties. If you king-hit someone you should do time in prison regardless of the outcome. It would stop these idiots thinking that they can just punch someone and walk free.

Yeah I saw it in the paper this morning & thought uh-oh.
Craig is a local identity tied to a footy team & boxing.

Tough times ahead for a few families.

    Tragic.

I know Fieldsy, went to school with him, played against him thru the juniors, have even coached my boy against his boy up here. He's even done electrical work at my house and we have shared a beer or two before.

Just can't believe the news, stunned.

      Bloody alcohol.

      The FlogPen .

      You know it makes sense.

All it takes is a bit difference of opinion & alcohol and it starts. One punch...a fall....tragedy.

The reason & tend to avoid hotels nowadays. Too many people want to fight.

            That's why I don't go out anymore.

Too many drugged up farrkwits looking to tell their next knock out story.

You're lucky if you get king hit because the first thing these young carrnts think is to grab a glass or a knife, and they will stab you in the blink of an eye the ruthless, little, dog ****s.

I'll stick to the barbie in the back yard where only the pricks I like can come in and the only dickhead around is me.

Yeah I know. When I see the politically motivated "Violence against women - it's not on" slogans, I think 3 things:

              1. Obviously it's not ok to hit a chick

              2. It's also not ok for women to bash their men - this goes on a lot. The men cop it because of 1. above. Tiger Woods' wife should have been booked and charged with assault. Everyone knows she hit him in the head with a golf club. The double standard means nobody even considered charging her. Would anyone defend a bloke who 5-ironed his wife who he found out had slept around?

              3. It's just as serious if a bloke kills another bloke, as Field has been charged with.

There is so much devaluing of the lives of those born with XY chromosomes in our society. We are constantly told how precious females are and how up against every disadvantage they are from the cradle to the grave. It is BS. The wheel has turned. Men are the new niggers.

King-hits are for cowards with no moral values and no respect for their fellow man.

I have sympathy for the victims family, but none for that grub field. Charge him with murder and make an example of him. The precedent can then be used in courts-of-law as the 'Fields law'.

I can understand the sentiments from everyone regarding the "alleged" but there is also a victims side to them as well.
                    Their family.
Can you imagine being the wife, son, daughter, mother or father of the accused?

As I said before, things happen quickly & a stupid decisions affected by alcohol/drugs can ruin so many lives.

If any good can come of this I hope that at least one person out there has a look at their lives & adjusts their behaviour & lifestyle because of it.

Trouble seems to follow Craig Field. Think I read somewhere years ago that he used to be an Easts supporter, even a ball boy at one stage and evetually got graded with Souths as Easts thought he wasn't good enough.

He will not be convicted of murder, however, the manslaughter charge will see him do a few years.

                            Sad for all concerned.
