Agree totally Chook andd Chook 56. It's Harrigan's arrogance in encouraging his referee's to have put their personal interpretation ahead of the rule book that has caused the refereeing debacle we now have where every decision is a bloody lottery. And listening to these blokes on SportsEars at the game I am amazed at the amount of 'small talk' that goes on between the 2 refs on the field. Laughing and joking amongst yourselves does not inspire confidence in either the players on the field or those off the field who are able to tune in to your conversations. Shut up and concentrate on the game for farks sake!!
The sooner Harrigan and his methods of coaching the refs are punted the better our referees will be. And don't tell me he doesn't play favourites either - Luke Phillips hasn't been sighted anywhere near first grade since being outed as one of the refs not a fan of him. Yet unknowns manage to get a start, like the nuffie David Munro we have this weekend. Anyone ever heard of him before?
