    Unfortunate.
    Obviously Fox got what they want, New Ltd still have some sway in the so called independant commission.
    Nine are just a beneficiary of the association between News and Fox.
    I thought the other bidders had a better offer with more free to air.

    Maybe now News Ltd will let their control over the game go, well I can live in hope.

    This is my opinion based purely on scarilous rumour and inuendo.

    Giddyup.

      In keeping with the NEWS LTD theme.

          can't believe 9 are showing a QLD cup game live at 2pm every sunday yet won't show the NRL live on sunday afternoon, what an absolute joke, if they want their adds, just have 30sec time out for every scrum/line drop out, much better than the 10 minutes of football followed by 10 minutes of adds.

          also all anzac day games are now going to be live on 9 regardless of which day they fall on.

            * The first 20 rounds of the premiership will be scheduled in advance of the season;

            The Nine Network will broadcast:
            * Three weekly matches (two on Friday and one on Sunday);
            * Three Thursday evening matches over the course of the year;

            * The Storm v Warriors Anzac Day game (other than in 2014);
            * Three non NRL matches each week played in conjunction with the Telstra Premiership game (which will be shared between Toyota Cup, NSW Cup and GIO Schoolboys Cup);
            * All games will be broadcast live, ad-free during play and in HD;
            * Fox Sports has also acquired digital rights to stream its five live weekly matches via IPTV and tablet devices.

            Both networks will have responsibility for:

              Lachlan Murdoch has thrown his toys out of his cot. And Gina Rinehart has taken to comfort eating.

                Heir Reinhart's youngest had better be careful. One of the reasons her kids hate her is that she originaly had 7 children but she ate 3 of them right after giving birth.

                Chook.

                    Bianca Rinehart is eminently fornicatable. The other kids are mercenary.

                      Looking at the deal not much has changed in terms of the coverage.

                      You have to give credit for the dollars considering they got more than double the puppet Gallop got.

                      Also importantly 9 and News lose the first the last offer on the next rights deal.

                      Pretty good.

                          Yep they had that right until 2027 and they agreed to it's removal which is pretty good of them

                            Yep Gyngell was pretty firm on that when asked

                            So I guess we get a steady diet of Drongos on Friday night for years too come unfortunately.
