I just switched the GF off...before half time...could no longer stand the 9 commentators seeming salivating over the Dogs and their fans.
Dogs centre passed the ball to Perrett who scored in the corner...and they were drooling that it was almost the greatest ever play in RL history.

Thankyou, it been a real buzz this weekend trying to get tickets,airfares and accomodation, a lot more stressful than getting tickets for a NRL grand Final but everything has fallen into place nicely, its going to be a big weekend

Hope you had a great weekend Horrie. My niece went down for the AFL GF as well. Trained it down Friday night, didn't bother with accommodation on the Sat night and got the 6am flight back to Sydney on Sunday! Needless to say she says she slept most of yesterday after having none for 48 hours. But she had a ball, including the afterparty at the MCG on Sat night.

So glad you and she got to witness a victory after all that effort an expense to go down there.

She supports the Sharks in the NRL so not sure she'll ever get that feeling of victory in league!

Thanks Novice, it was a truly great weekend, just got back this afternoon.The atmoshphere at the ground with just under 100,000people was just amazing and the game itself with the scores changing all throughout the day was so exciting, i will say it is the best AFL game i have ever watched live and the atmosphere is one i will never forget.It was also good to get out on the MCG playing surface after the match as part of the after party[although those who could go out on the pitch could not drink and i was really feeling like a beer by that time].Glad your niece got to experience what was a truly an amazing once in a life time experience.
