So it turns out it may not have even been a player who said anything. The reporter was some distance away outside the locked grounds and used a long distance microphone to pick up sounds come out of a slightly open window where players, friends and family, officials, trainers etc were celebrating. Chan 9 cant even prove the comments were directed at the reporter and not in jest with some other conversation inside the room.
Whats dissapointing is Gallop was piss weak in caving to the media and feeding fuel to any frenzy. Rather than Grant wait for the facts he he again has jumped on the media bandwagon. He should apologise to the Dogs for showing he has no balls on holding the media to account.

Cameras were used to take photos from behind a locked gate. I think they may have let the channel 7 crew in for a short time but not channel 9.

Channel 9 then decided to go to a closer vantage point where the players were indoors and filmed from a gap in the window into where the players were sitting. Again it was a private function and they has already been told to leave.

What was said by the players was pathetic but for the people here too stupid to understand, the television crew were there for one reason. To dish up some dirt, not just on the bulldogs but rugby league. If you haven't noticed, the afl have stepped up their propaganda campaign with paid for articles in the press to promote the afl, this shortly after their 2ic rejected the NRL CEO job on the day of the dally m's (no coincidence) and then on grand final day announce Hazem El Masri has been offered a job with GWS. No doubt the footage was intended for use on ACA to further denigrate the game and the bulldogs duly obliged.
Don't complain then when the media do the same to the roosters as some of you are the market they are targeting for this sort of muck raking.
What a waste of your time As you said They went looking for dirt The Bulldogs gave them mud and plenty of it Had they kept their mouths shut Which seems very hard for some There really would be nothing to say This minor detail seems to have escaped you

Yes you have told us about this before. We've all seen them in action so it isn't a surprise that this went on, and probably still does.

Do you understand the word private? Would the channel 9 reporter like a bunch of Bulldogs players hanging outside a private function she was conducting? How about you? If someone was filming into the window of a private function you were hosting? I guess you would invite them in for a cup of tea and scones.

I would just close the window draw the curtains No need for abusive behaviour Especially knowing full well It would be reported

              You're an idiot.

Channel Nein sent a court reporter to a sports ground to interview league players on a mad monday booze up. Had they sent a reporter who knew what to expect from half tanked footy players, she may have not been so offended by comments eminating from a room filled with them 40 farking metres away. Reeks of a set up!

              Chook.

All I can say is that your Scumdogs are not flying under the radar now Dessie. They are on front and centre stage, for all the wrong reasons.

No matter if it was a set up, there was no need for the classless and sexist comments from the Scumdogs and/or their mutley associates. No doubt alcohol was a factor, but it is not an excuse. I'm surprised there were no 'minders' at hand who would have quickly shut the blokes up and closed the window.

Fact is the media break all boundaries nowdays and no sporting club or code is immune. It's not as if the Scumdogs are the only ones subjected to it. They are just the latest one caught out, that's all.

One of our very own dear residents here dumped on the Bulldogs behaviour in this thread...yet is prone to his own classless and sexist behaviour to other forum members.

                        Pretty dumb stuff.
All they had to do was flash a labor party membership card or go dressed as Todd Carney in a sharks jersey and they could do what ever they want

What they did was inexcusable!! It was caught on camera what they were saying at female reporters, and it was disgusting and unacceptable!! Something does need to be done about it this to let them know that this type of behavior will not be tolerated!

All the bull$cum needed to do was what Nathan Hindmarsh did at parra's mad Monday, just tell the media that he was in no condition to talk to them, for which the media then left them alone.
Oh you are richer than my butterscotch cheesecake recipe, considering the way you've addressed me personally on this forum over the past few months. I've been oblivious to some of it because I was moving house at the time and therefore didn't read it all but my closest and dearest male friends who are members of this forum and know how to conduct themselves like true gentlemen are left underwhelmed by your personal attacks on me, to say the least. So if you choose to live in a glass house, I strongly suggest you dress in the basement from now on and stop throwing stones at others.

Reeks of a set up alright.

If it was us mate, they'd all be screaming for justice.

No one likes the Boggs, but seriously if that's all they could come up with from Mad Monday, I'd say it's been a decent year headline wise for the game.

I've seen better insults on this forum alone.

The thing is the journo would not have been offended by the comments, rather celebrating she had a story.

Can't agree with you there Cock,
What was said was a disgrace. The buff heads on here saying why would they send a female to a mad Monday need to realise its the year 2012 not the 1950's.
It would have been so much easier and smarter to send out Barba and Ennis for 5 min each. Answer a couple of questions then ask for a bit of privacy. Remember they failed to meet there media commitments after the game too. Whether you think the media should have gone is beside the point. They go to every clubs mad Monday, even the wooden spooners, where Hindmarsh simply said I'm in no condition to talk.
How the media went about it was wrong but it just doesn't excuse the comments made.
On to Todd Greenburg. I thought he was different, I thought he was all about changing the club. He is supposed to be the best CEO in the business and a future leader of this game. He would know exactly who said what and looks as though he is just trying to brush it off. I'm not saying to name them because I don't think that sacking the players is warranted, but at least make the offending players apologise in person to the journalist and slap them with $10-$15,000 fines, then come out and state what you did.
