  • Matt Elliot coach of Warriors in 2013

Apparently NZ Warriors are set to name their coach tonight at their presentation and rumour has it that its Matt Elliot on a 1 year deal.

Not sure if that means they have got Bellamy or whether they are still working on him.

Either way looks like they have shown they are willing to throw away 2013 to have a good 2014. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Reported David Kidwell is getting head gig with Elliott coaching manager or some flog position.

Also Steven Kearney Broncos assistant. Which I feel is a great signing for Broncos. He will thrive in their disciplined culture.

Interesting. Elliott was at a posh Double Bay bar last night with a lady. Perhaps he was celebrating?

If you're referring to The Sheaf....he is there quite often.

I said 'Posh' 13...I wouldn't classify the Sheaf as posh. This was on Bay st.

Even the Warriors weren't stupid enough to hire him. I congratulate David Kidwell on his promotion to coach, he's got the passion to do well over there.

It's not that noone wants the Warriers gig 56. Just that the blokes the Warriers HR want don't want it and the blokes the Warriers don't want do!

Hopefully they'll come out of that situation better than the roosters did at the end of 06.

Andrew Webster has written this in today's online rag, good luck to the Warriors if it's true:

                          http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/spo...-1226493632304

Looks like they have a policy of only offering 2 yr coaching contracts, pretty smart really as they only need to pay out one year, when the dopes they sign end up not being able to coach a thirsty dog to water!!

They have just bought themselves a guarantee of no premierships in the near future.
They may as well have signed Smith.
If I was a Warriors player I'd quit!
