I don't think there is hatred but some can't control themselves and it comes out as hatred but really it's just that he sucks as an NRL coach. He can spot all the talent he likes but if he can't get them to being in the finals, at least, then he's a waste of money. If I had to pick between him and Smith, I'd pick Smith any day, and the day after that.

I reckon the Warriors club may be quite happy to take a few resignations from players, given the way some of them played in 2012.

Their playing roster are not in a position to be asking any favours from those who pay their wages, given the way they died in the arse in so many games last season. If they wanted Iro to coach them so badly, perhaps they should have put in a little more effort for him in the games he coached them at the back end of the season.

Elliott is not as bad a coach as many make out. He is probably the pick of those available other than rookies. And given McClennan was a rookie NRL coach who couldn't cut it, perhaps the Warriers didn't want to repeat the experience again so soon.
