just read that he has retired....i saw a few of the tribute video things for retiring players and the flag tribute thing before the grand final.Dont recall them acknowledging Philthy Phil the Philanthropist at all....sure he wasn't the greatest first grader, but i think he deserved a wrap...maybe im just a softy but its disappointing

Yeah it was announced the other day.
After moving to the Gold Coast he copped a pre season injury that saw him play most of the season in lower grades & never got a look in for the Titans.

Wish him well for the future.

im pretty sure he played 1 or 2 games for them...but yeah makes sense why , if he only announced it recently....best of luck Phil!

That's what i thought, too, but the srticle I read said that he never strapped on the Titans gear

He played at least 1 game - the one the Titans gifted the Tigers at the last minute from memory mainly courtesy of Phil, who did not have his finest game.

He played 2 games for Titans that I can remember and he was shown on Grand final day I remember seeing him on camera and thinking "Didn't know he was retiring."

I think the game against the tigpies was his first grade debut for the titans and he had one of the worst games if football you could ever hope to see.

he played one game as the full back and a few games with seagulls i think. dont know why they bought him when they have mead and michaels on the wings.
