I remember Luke Ricketson being suspended and missing a Grand Final for gently nudging an opponent in the play the ball. Taking that as a standard, the Bulldog Biter should have been suspended for life.

Even "old school" Royce didn't budge for the Beefeater.
Very true mate, Royce was one of the panel members, and he knows what's a bite in a reaction to someone being all over your face compared to what Graham did, a Tyson.

One of my first nicknames as a kid playing footy, Royce after our old prop. Then for a time I copped Bruce, from Bruiser Bruce Clark. Guess someone was trying to tell me I was a fat average prop.

Didn't Ricko slap Fein after he shaped up to Freddy mate???

Either way it was a very harsh penalty for a slap, missing a GF, especially considering Ricko was a Cleanskin.

So true mate, Dallas would've been apt.

Lol, I first copped Royce off Peter Horwood (from memory) the president of Rose Bay Rams.

The boys called me Bear after Bob O Rielly too. Shit I copped some prop nicknames.

            Great days my friend.

I have even heard some halfwits ring up the radio complaining what a poor std it sets for little kids and he should be banned for life.
If a kids decides that its OK to bite because he thinks an NRL player did it, thats just poor parenting.
Whilst I think that Graham's behaviour is a throwback to another era, I shed no tears for Billy Slater. Over the years he's stomped on other players' faces, kicked blokes in the head and participated in chicken wing tackles. I will also never forget him for sledging another player for suffering from depression. The fact that one in 7 Australian men may commit suicide is no laughing matter. When the Immortals are chosen, the judges are told to look at on field conduct only, so in years to come, if Slater's name will be bandied about, I hope this will be taken into account but I highly doubt it.
