Apparently they get given 17 or some set amount of rings by the NRL but they have the option to purchase more from the jeweller at the cost of the club. So I am sure Rylesy got one as he was a big part of the Storm forward pack this year.

Yeah you're right mate, he played 19 games for us in 2002, but no GF, I just presumed that if you don't play in the GF, then you get no ring, silly me!

I just reckon you should only get one if you play in the GF, a bit like John Rheinberger in 1975, it was only his second game & his only full game of FG RL ever, probably didn't really deserve it, but you can't take it off him!

It's up to the club who wins the GF as to how many extra premiership rings they buy for the club. After all, they are stumping up for the cost.

I remember reading that Manly bought extras for some of their admin and head office staff as well as a few fringe players when they won in 2011. And I'm sure that those prats the Penns, Delmege's etc would have put their hand up for one as well.

Kidwell definitely received one in 2002, as did a few other players who'd played throughout the year but didn't make it to the big dance.

I'm sure Bellamy will ensure that Ryles gets a premiership ring. He seems to think very highly of him.
