Can someone please tell me why rugby league players don't kick as far down the field as rugby union players do?

Dang that is something any kid kicking a footy around has known for years.

Yawnion balls have always been designed to be kicked further both on the ground and off the ground.

FFS that game would be even more boring if they couldnt kick the life out of the ball. Players would actually have to tackle and score tries. It wouldn't be Yawnion anymore.

i dont realy find much difference in the balls the exception being the afl ball which is definitly made for longer kicks, perhaps braith was the last of the long kick off specialists are we really going to miss his kick offs out on the full?
