Well he obviously pretty much knows sweet bugger all about Rugby League, that may or may not be a bad thing, as he is coming onboard without any baggage, or owing anybody any favours, but like everything, only time will tell that. I should imagine, since we have the governing committee, headed up by John Chalk, looking after the nuts and bolts of the game, it'll be his job to keep the finances coming in, and the game on track as a major player in australian sport. Lets hope he is up to the job, welcome to Rugby League David Smith, sit down, buckle up, and get ready for the ride of your life.

David Smith, a banker with an engineering background and zero sports administration experience? He'll have no baggage, no ties to Spews Limited and no credability as CEO of a sporting code.

            Interseting choice and times ahead.

            Chook.

                  I work for Lloyds International.

Dave Smith is extremely switched on and down to earth. He will bring in a wealth of business acumen & the level of professionalism will go through the roof.

He is a very, very smart choice.

Those roles are pretty well filled.

It makes sense to have a former treasurer and current CEO to run the game after the new broadcast deal. Lets hope he is a benevolent banker and not a bankster. Big Poppa Pump's endorsement suggests a positive move.

That'll do me as a reference.

Is that what Rothwitt writes? I think that's being too generous to him.
