Players who play on the wing in our game do not matter as much as the people on the inside of them ( Halfback, 5/8th, FB). We could have had the greatest wingers of all time last year, but with last years halves combo of Banasta and teflon kid, they would have never scored a point.
Take Amos Roberts. One of the greatest wingers ever to come to our club and I really mean that. He had speed vision and agility even when he was older. But playing on the outside of Crapasta and da finchi cost him big time. The eels should be thankful they didn't sign folau, because had they signed him and played him on the outside of a halves combo like Sandow and Roberts, he'd be lucky to score 5 trys a season IMHOComment of the year:
