  • New innovation in NRL

    http://www.foxsports.com.au/league/n...-1226537371851

The article is about using sticky gloves used in NFL to make catching easoer. Some people say it'll ruin the fabric of the game but me and Ron Massey think its good because it'll cut out the errors of games and there will be more risks taken in the game as players are more confident they wont spill da pill BRO!!!!

Yeah and while we are at it lets introduce helmets and protective padding

Also lets stop the game so the refs can explain penalties to the crowd. We should stay as far away as we can from that novelty sport IMO

This inovation isnt about dinosaurs wanting player safety but making it a more entertaining spectacle.

If we had those gloves none of us would get pissed at BJ for spilling the pill often. Especially for a poor disiplined team like us it would work. You might say "but they're proffessionals" dont you want to watch entertaining footy rather than boring Parra-esque footy. It'll cut out the mistakes

Its not a step backwards like banning ahoulder charge.

We should make inovations eg. more competitive scrum, way of encouraging risky play on 5th tackle eg if chip & chase and regather 2 more addtional tackles, harsher penalty on making ball puropsely go dead, allow 18th man, more international games, upgrades on Centrebet, Brookvale and more seats at Dairy Farmers. Neat and flashy coverage eg you know how NFL have those virtual markers on field but only seen on tv where its says like "1st & 10" or has a pop up of a players stats.

Most importantly cut out golden point and replace with extra time. No comments from those dinosaurs on the forum who were complaining about hats on that SBW thread earlier because I predict youll say "a good-old fashioned true-blue draw is good enough"

          Its only an improvement.

But the one total f*ck up with this suggestion by Massey is that it'd be harder to pass the ball.

                Drink responsibility.

Wouldnt want to end up like that guy on Today when he got drunk at the Logies or Kanye West at the Grammy.

A good ball player wants to feel his finger tips on the ball for control, I guess it would be optional... we could put liquid nails on Mini's gloves

this will be a good rule change for the Roosters considering every pass thrown by Mitchell Pearce is considered forward by the men in pink.

                      Yeah, its really yummy!

Im not a fan of the gloves. Lets not de-skill the game any further.

i reckon if they brought them in, the only players that would wear them would be centres and wingers. halves dont need em. forwards dont need em. hookers especially dont need em. the blokes that do need help with their catching are the ones that are leaping for the last tackle chip/bomb in the corner. maybe the fullback as well.
