My neighbour and I just said the same thing. In all his quotes, his main concern is for his players, not himself. The innocent have nothing to fear and Shane will maintain his dignity through this. "Stood down" is not the same as "sacked".

Maybe he's not so innoccent as he's making out. There are now reports that he (and other officials) knew of allegations about players taking drugs used on horses fro muscle growth strength & endurance, which is why they were "stood down".

If the reports about players taking these drugs are true i find it difficult to believe the head coach knew absolutely nothing about it.
