Then at his trial we found out what the actual truth was.
Greg Bird was charged with hitting a woman in a niteclub.
At his trial the CCTV was produced, and showed that he didn't hit anyone!
Domestic violence incidents often involve more than one person.
The people involved not usually wanting their words and actions to be made public.

a feel sorry for ben because he is a supreme talent on the field.
although it is a tender topic I just want to say that I couldn't be happier that its happening to the bulldogs.
lets be thankful, grateful even, that as every day goes past, we don't have another nate myles incident, or a todd carney incident.

OK he's a dog, but 1st & foremost he's a young man with a family, he also happens to have
enormous talent, plus now he is in strife & needs support, I hope he get its & can turn himself
around & back on the field.
There will so much said that isn't always true, don't add to it with speculations & hearsay,
remember, Todd was hounded everywhere he went, & he did not deserve that treatment nor
does Barba.
Now you can all yell at me, call me an idiot but stop & think we have all been there with Todd.
& none of us were happy with all the hounding. We have no idea what has happened

Does anyone know what has actually happened? Media reports suggest a gambling problem, something he has been trying to deal with - no pun intended - since he was a teenager. Other reports of a split with his longtime partner. Did he trade her in a game of poker or something?
Imagine if it was a Rooster player.Last edited by The Sack; 02-25-2013, 06:18 PM.

My immediate thoughts when he (Barba) was stood down was he is suffering from depression and needed time to himself. If he has bashed his girlfriend I certainly wouldn't condone that as I always think the better solution is to just walk away whether someone deserves it or not.
Just like Todd Carney who had his problems off field, sometimes someone just needs a little bit of breathing space and a bit of mentoring. If Barba was a Roosters player I imagine the support from here he would get would be enormous.
Barba is an exciting machine and hope he gets his act together if things appear as bad as they may seem."Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".
