  • Interesting!!!

That the Titans have named Brad Takaraingi to play in the centres and BJ Leilua hasn't been named in first grade at all for the Knights.

BJ still has a carry over of 4 (?) games suspension from memory. isn't it a sticking point with the NRL & registering his Knoughts contract?

THE Knights have signed controversial former Roosters centre Joseph ‘‘BJ’’ Leilua to a two-year contract, more than two months after he joined the club.

The 21-year-old fringe NSW Origin candidate signed a letter of intent and began training with the Knights in late December but the club did not register his contract with the NRL until last week.

Leilua is serving a four-game suspension imposed by the NRL and will not be available to play until their round-five game against the Dragons at Jubilee Oval on April 7.

‘‘It has taken some time but we are pleased to have signed Joseph on a two-year contract before the season started,’’ Knights chief executive Matt Gidley said in a statement on the club’s website.

‘‘Joseph has a great opportunity at the Knights playing under Wayne Bennett and we are confident of seeing him play his best football here.’’

Its funny how things turn out,

When we first signed BJ he gave up an opportunity at the dragons (bennet wanted him) but he eventually signed with us,

but now seems like bennet has his man!!!

He will fit in well there with the likes of Houston and Gids.

Titans must be really short on talent to have to play Taka at centre. No wonder they wanted Jennings.

But they couldn't find a spot for Mark Minichiello. If Albert Kelly doesn't stand up big time they could be in for very poor season.

                      All,

try harder to initiate new threads in the correct category pls. Pretty simple.
This thread for example was posted under sydney roosters discussion.........taka & leilua are ex players of our club therefore should be in the rugby league discussion.

So what if it was a thread about Freddy? The other sections hardly get viewed. I can understand if it was about a player with no affiliation with the club, but we are talking about 2 guys who were with the club only weeks ago. A valid topic IMO.
