Arona is the one who should have gone along with FPN!

I would love for us to study how manly operate their lethal right hand side attack, and for SKD to take special note of how lyon sets up his winger.

When it comes to Symonds, from what I can gather we were paying overs to retain him after he played that one good game against $ouff$ in round 1 a few years ago and a few clubs lined up to grab him. I am not sad we lost him for the money he was on.

As mentioned by a few on here, FPN and Arona in particular are very expendable. For the money we spend on FPN we are not getting the value. Maybe we should target one or two of the bull$cum's young talented backrowers to replace them?

Every year they turn up thru all the scandals and infighting and media telling us how they will fail again.

They always do it their way and it works mostly. They don't give a shit what others think.

Hopefully we are 1/2 as tough mate.

mate i said earlier i think they have the best halves pairing in the comp, i also think they have the best center pairing in the comp. Very solid fullback, good finishing winger, and watmough ballin kite and buhrer give them a capable set of frwds, for mine they are the best team on paper, not sure about coach waterboy though.

              Agree mate.

Toovs is woManly. He is a carnt. And he hates losing. Those are two very good traits to have as a coach.

I remember a certain poster on the other site saying very similar to this after Hasler walked out on them Yet fools over there were saying Manly were imploding You seemed back then to be taking that side of thought Good to see you changed your mind

anger will only get you so far, des had anger but also revolutionary ideas and the man was coach 24/7. Tooves has a bit to prove for mine and i also think that is why joey was brought in to coach the halves. i hate manly cos half my mates go for them, but they are always in finals contention and have won a premiership at least once in the past 5decades. pricks.

                    What other site mate???

I would be very surprised if I have changed my mind on Desmond leaving or Tooves coaching or woManlys toughness.

I may well be proven wrong on that, but I can only recall ever praising the way woManly do their shizzle.

Either that or you're geeing Melon "the tealeaf" up???

Anger is what they show in the media. All the great coaches have been stern and lost it at times in the media. Behind closed doors though I guess Tooves is a players coach, they all seem to love him, like all the great coaches.

Troves IMO showed last year he could take an injury riddled roster, who'd won the previous year, with a coach walking out on them and constant media speculation as far as he did.

He was on a hiding to nothing and IMO came thru it well. Now he looks to have them motivated and healthy even though they've lost some quality and replaced them with players of lesser quality.

I can't see them missing the 4 again this season, unless the drug scandal rips them a new one.

                      Carnts.

True about Lyon in general but after last night I wouldn't be talking about setting players up. How bad was failing to pass to Stewart after that break??

Simmonds will hurt manly at some stage cause he is a weak defender

Like i said before, the Roosters are the feeder club to the rest of the NRL. We put up with them when they are crap and then they shine when we release them probably because they are ready for FG then.

LOD was a necessary signing however we should have got rid of Arona and Frank Paul the puff puff ball before Symonds.

I suppose that they can't be perfect all the time. Lyon's passes for both of wolfman's tries were nice and that is the sort of thing that SKD can learn from lyon. When G. Stewart returns from injury, manly's right hand side attack will be extra potent!! Also SKD could learn something by how lyon defends. As far as I know Loko for parra is leading the tackle busts which has me very worried with SKD marking up on him.

In general I would like certain players in our side who have room for improvement look to certain quality players in their position at other clubs, see what they are doing right and learn from them. I would love Pearce to study Cooper Cronk and learn many things from him! For starters Cronk is the master of deception, for example his inside balls to Slater are so effective that now many other sides are trying to copy what they do, whereas Pearce tends to telegraph most things he does. As crap as what abbo alfie sandow is, Pearce can learn how to kick a 40/20 by watching him, as Pearce hasn't kicked one for years. And Pearce can watch how the good halfbacks close to the tryline can kick a ball and have them stay in the ingoal which would be bloody nice!!

Certainly Friend could learn a thing or two from Cameron Smith.

I don't think he's a rubbish player, but jeez he can be lazy. He has shown he can be very damaging in attack and defence but it's a weekly thing do we get the wreckingball or the marshmallow.
