Report filtering thru he has signed a 3 year deal with Parramatta for a reported 2 million dollars, good luck to him, for getting that, he's a wholehearted player, but I would of not been offering him anywhere near that sort of money.

worth more than 250k in todays salary cap for sure. big metres alot of tackles and very disciplined. very disappointed he is signing on such big money. would have loved him to replace LOD as he is only 24 and should only get better!!! not much out there forward wise after this bloke that come off contract next year... none that i would want at the club anyway.

They signed guys like Poore, Shackleton, Tahu and Willie Tonga on large scale contracts and that's ended in tears.
The sad thing is, they probably have/had the most promising juniors in the nrl over the last few years. In my opinion they really don't need to buy many players at all to build a successful team. There are heaps of players that they have let loose, who under the right coach have become superstars. Tony Williams spring to mind, David Williams from Manly, even Paul Gallen many years ago.Comment of the year:
Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

There is a few more who would be walk up starts in that rabble of a team. The list is endless much like the one from Penrith. Both clubs have an un-canny knack of releasing blokes for some strange reason that are fairly decent or turned out to be fairly decent players.
We are no different, blokes have left us and gone on to be better players elsewhere
