understand where the reality of TV sits, their programming needs and the money it brings into the game. agree the advanced specific days of the draws is a godsend to the long distance fans.

i am a bit old school but winter sport and the weekend are the perfect mix for me. i will watch the Roosters live when they are within reasonable travel and whatever time they play and my local CRL side on a Sunday afternoon (2pm) if it doesn't clash with the Roosters.

Once Sunday evening has come around i start to switch off. i rarely watch Monday night or Friday nights games and didn't watch any of the Thursday night games except souths-easts at the ground. A two day turn around just is too much i like the excitement of looking forward to the weekend and whats coming up.

anyway must be a dying breed.

Make your threads Worthy Gary by thinking before you leap. Start them in the right section. This one plus the Freaks of the game one you started last night ARE NOT Roosters related.........more Rugby League Discussion. Thanks .

In all honesty i wouldn't hate the two Friday night games if Channel Nine improved their coverage to HD and gave the viewers the options to watch one game or other live, give us the choice of which match to watch.

Another problem is the commentary teams at Channel Nine that just don't bring any sort of excitement or analysis to the games. I hate Fox and News Ltd but their presentation and coverage of Rugby League is second to none.

Last but not least the 4pm game that is delayed. That just says it all really. You cannot get excited about a game that started an hour before, with technology there is no avoiding the result, i just refuse to watch that game.

          Those were the days.
I only remember those Saturday arvo games being at 3pm not 2pm.

I have never been able to understand why 9 don't insist Sunday arvo games are live???

3 Live games at 2pm on Fox, 4pm on 9er and 6pm on Fox.

They can whack in their ads still, they do so anyways during live games.

              The FlogPen .

              You know it makes sense.

Mate if any one is like me they just change the channel when ever there is an add because ill be ****ed if I'm going to watch adds while the footy is on. I normally flick it over and watch a couple of minutes of the aerial ping pong because that's better then a preview of what shows are coming up on channel 9
