South Sydney is investigating claims forward David Fa'alogo hit coach Jason Taylor during an end-of-season drinking session.
Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson has confirmed he is looking into an altercation between Fa'alogo and Taylor, who was reportedly 'punched and knocked out' the day after the club's last round win over Cronulla on Saturday night.
Taylor and the players had gathered at a Surry Hills pub to celebrate the end of the season.
It's believed the Rabbitohs coach threw a mock punch at Fa'alogo, who misinterpreted the playful gesture and retaliated with a full-blooded punch.
Fa'alogo is on his way out of the club after signing a four-year deal with UK Super League club Huddersfield.
