  • The South Sydney Koalas

Gees I don't like Manly but Souths are deadset a protected species. There was no head high and then that idiot burgess doesn't get 10 for taking it into his own hands.

Then the Symonds try get disallowed for a shite Asostasi defensive read.

    The fix is in Chookpenners.

This is the most inempt display of refereeing I have seen in a long time.
What a about the "elbow" on everingham.

$ouff$ will deadset win the competition and we will never know if they deserved to.

I gotta say Souffs got every call available, it was very blatant.

          Why wasn't Burgess binned???

He teed off like a nutter. That's always usually a sin bin.

WoManly blew a lot of chances. But a lot of that was Souffs defence, Goodwin did a number on Lyon.

          Great game to watch.

Manly played like dirty thugs. 4 players on report and everyone of them deserved imo. I dont like either team but was glad that souths won and gave the brookvale bullies a bloody nose.

Always love watching Manly get beat (especially at brookvale). It certainly made my day.

Souths will choke in the semis. A classier team like Melbourne (or us) will find a way around them.

Manly paid for their gutter tactics, i hate Souths and really dislike Manly but Fa'aso should have gone with his second spear on Inglis.Do agree that Mattai[as much as i hate him] there was no head high and Burgess shouldnt have taken things into his own hands.Better team won though.Would have loved to see another replay of the Wolfmans disallowed try, he didnt ground it but it was interesting when they got the penalty when the video ref said shoulder charge on Wolfie, if that was the case why not a penalty try[ mind you i would like the see the replay again because i wasnt looking for a shoulder charge when they were reviewing it]

Winning at Brooky just shows how good this Souths team is. Hate em all you like, but the dirty rotten smelly #uckers are the real deal.

game of the season but geez the reffing was inept. Now i know this is gonna be controversial but is Williams a passenger of Jamie Lyon. hes now a shadow of 2007-2009. He still knows how to find the line but he has the luxury of Lyon doing all the dirty work. All the ball was going towards him when no ball was going towards the second highest try scorer Taufua. They looked more dangerous on the left. I guess it comes down to Goodwin's shutting down of Lyon. King is another who baffles how he gets into the side. So lucky that Tasi is gone or hed be in NSW Cup.

Still this was THE GAME OF THE SEASON along with Broncos vs Storm

I thought Manly's attack was rubbish especially in that second half. They were deadset throwing it around willy nilly, no structure. Souffs defense wasn't as good as many of their toofless fans would be thinking tonight. They were deadset horrible defensively in the middle of the field.

Can't farkin' stand either of them but to be fair Fa'aso should have gone too after 2 dangerous tackles. Manly looked very average tonight hopefully they keep that up at Brooky in 2 weeks time. One negative out of tonight's result is that it's going to take a massive effort to beat Manly at home, can't remember the last time they lost 2 in a row there.

Jeez, I must say, I don't even know what a try is anymore. That Souths try, think it was Sutton who scored, where they went to check for obstruction. Looked like a player was totally taken out to me, he could never of made that tackle, and with the stand they've taken on the Obstruction rule, I was sure it would be disallowed.

Then down the other end, Asotasi makes no effort to make a tackle at all, Ballin is meant to disappear or something, and they take the try off them. I can't keep up with all these rule changes.

Also thought Fa'aoso could of easily been binned for two really, really nasty spear tackles.

I don't think Souths can play too much better than that, but I know Manly can. Their attack was extremely out of character and inept and they were a victim of being too aggressive. They weren't patient, dropped a lot of ball early when they were making easy meters and let Souths back into the game. Aggression is good, but they went over the top there, and after all that, with some of those rulings, I think Souths might've still been lucky to leave with a win, although they were the better team.

A very entertaining game of football, though.
