This is so true 6. As a female I find it amusing that her gender seems to be more important to the media and public than her actual credentials. It goes to show that women are still very much in the minority when it comes to high ranking administrative positions. Obviously the fact that NRL is a physical male sport is a contributing factor. in this. However, the fact that the first thing some fans do on her appointment is point out her 'shocking' haircut and appearance is also a source of amusement / annoyance. Yes plenty of chookpenners have made fun at Noyce and his supposed resemblance to a certain Muppet character. BUT did this comparison with said muppet start well into his tenure at Easts when fans were getting tired of him or was it the very first thing fans commented on when he was initially appointed our CEO?

Yes, having a female CEO is unique in the world of Rugby League. But lets just see how she goes doing the job she is being paid for. Some don't need their jerseys washed as they are too lazy..John Ribot springs to mind..I never once saw a dirty jersey on that man. He was always immaculate after scoring a try..Fancy frenchman..

I will say there are a lot of women doing a fine job unpaid in our local junior league. In all areas from officials to trainers and coaches thru to tuckshop duties.

Funny thing is Men always cook the barbie.
