  • Bulldogs Fans....

    Hello all,

I know this happened as far back as friday night, but I was reading the SMH a few minutes ago and saw the Jamie Soward possibly leaving the Dragons as of now. The story went so far as saying that his last moment in a Dragons Jersey could have been as he was lining up for a conversion to put the game into extra time against the Dullbogs. The reporter made reference to the fact that Dullbogs supporters were pelting him with bottles, etc

Watching the end of that game I remember seeing the Dogs supporters pelting Soward with bottles, etc and the commentators mentioned that he was being pelted with misslies.

I think that the majority of Dogs supporters are probably great and worthy members of the greater rugby league community. However, there are still elements within their supporter base who are a disgrace to the game and is the main reason I hate the Bulldogs with a passion. Did anyone see what happened and give a fark, cos I do...those who pelted him with missiles should be identified and banned from attending games for the remainder of the season.

Could have been disgruntled dragons supporters. He is a hard to warm too especially now he has signed with the riff and is playing such good football!!

Saw it and not much was made of it which is strange. Plenty of talk on the radio about it and on Sunday footy show.
Find them and ban them for life I say. Clowns. Saw Romelo pick something back up and hurl it into the crowd

no surprises how this has not been a media focus.
The Daptos still have a crowd problem with some of their fanbase. Just because the media does not report it; does not mean there is no problem!

I don't like going to Dapto games because of their fans' behaviour - they are hostile, intimidating and provoke fights

Isn't the ANZ cctv'ed up? If so, it shouldn't be too difficult to go through the footage - it's not like it was a full house.

If it isn't, it's time they installed it. Nothing puts you off throwing missiles like the prospect of the early morning knock.

I was at the game and sitting next to the dogs bay where they were throwing the bottles and soft footballs. Jamie should have been given every chance to get that goal. If that happened to Maloney while he was setting up for a goal like that, I'm sure I'd be pretty furious.

They need to find whoever did it and ban them. These people aren't welcome in the game.

so what has happened? Are the dog's management too scraed to act or simply sweeping this incident under the carpet?

It appears that it has been swept under the carpet....imagine if something like that happened in a semi final or grand final. If it was against $ouffs I bet there would be a royal commission of Obeid proportions.

They should have found the offenders and imposed a sanction and fine.

It was brought up on the dead set legends the following morning and Todd Greenburg later rang in to say they have reviewing the CCTV which showed some soft drink bottles being thrown and were trying to identify who threw them.

I'd still have 10 Bulldogs supporters around for a Sunday BBQ before a toothless grub from Souffs.

I know it happened a few days ago, but you can add a few dirty Manly supporters to that list.

Is it just me or is there a large amount of "irony" attached to this incident, being against The Boggs???

I will say I've been to Brookie a few times over the years and their fans are rabid carnts. On more than one occasion I've dreaded the walk to the car cos despite us losing the WoManly faithful can get nasty.

In all reality this sort of stuff probably happens most weeks at most grounds, even some of our fans have been accused of being of the feral variety. Sadly like some players some fans don't know how to act in public. And the mob mentality and alcohol and emotion of sport, well that can be a bad mix.

                            The FlogPen .

                            You know it makes sense.

Got it in one. I'm really starting to hate the walk back up to Oxford St after a game lately. We've had so many night games as well and that makes it worse. On Sunday night, I left early to catch the Dover Heights bus as they are scarce at that time on a weekend and I was abused by a bunch of Rabbitohs fans who were urinating in the bushes across the road. Charming lot they are..picking on girls walking alone..
