I thought he was composed all the way thru as was the whole team. And gave some sweet ball to Lewis on that right edge.
QLD were strangely off their game mostly.
Great result for our club.

You know it makes sense.

I doubted whether Maloney would be able to show an impact but jeez he showed he was up to it. Jennings was solid, think he rushed up a few times too many imo, which lead to a few breaks down his side. Both halves kicking games were quite solid. Pearce was alright, provided good service down the right to Lewis. Shocking pass to Lewis that one time though in the final 10 minutes of the first half. Could have potentially changed the game and is typical of Pearce at times.... going for too much and stuffing up

Maloney was great in the first half, but didn't touch the ball in the first 25 minutes of the second.

For five minutes last night Paul Gallen was my hero, Myles just stood there like a stunned mullet. Better a few punches than a spare tackle.
Congratulations to NSW, keep up the good work and make it 2 -0.
Well done to our Roosters boys - you did us proud.
I have my NSW flag flying proudly ..... as it was yesterday, in the heart of QLD.Last edited by PKR; 06-06-2013, 07:09 AM.Pauline Robinson from the "Wall".

I'm no fan of either player but it takes a brave man to take on that forehead! Nate had been leading with it in tackles and deserves at least some of what Gallen dished out. But there was no need for Gallen to keep going like he did with the punches. It reminded me of when Trent Barrett belted a Parramatta player in a headlock and punched him 8 times, difference being the guy didn't know who had grabbed him as it was from behind. Nate could have at least taken a swing back. I must admit I fell asleep at the 57th minute and will watch it again tonight on my T-box. It was rather funny seeking Smirk and Crank finally penalised too for various offences...the stunned looks on their faces was rather amusing.."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

I thought all our boys stood up. Also thought the back five for NSW were enormous.
Go th blues.

Pearce went all right, one bad pass to Lewis, but for the most part he did his job ...and certainly was building a nice combo with Lewis out on the right edge.
Maloney was good in the first half, a little quiet in the second and missed a few tackles, but again (like Pearce) would have the coach pretty happy with his selection. Again missed an easy goal kick, as he seems to do from time to time ....odd thing about Jimmy's goalkicks, if he was lining up a kick to win the grand final, I'd be more confident with him if the kick was on the touchline than I would if it was midway to the post.
Jennings showed he is just not a player with pace, but very much has a power running game too, that try was all determination.
Think overall the Rooster boys well and truly passed, but more importantly ....got through with a clean bill of health !

Myles is absolute filth and does not have a good reputation among the other NRL players.
To all you QLDers crying foul about Gallen being a thug, go and watch the game and watch what myles gets up to. NSW had enough.
Basically the scum got what he deserved. There would be plenty of Rooster boys (NSW, QLD and other) cheering that myles got belted.
Don't forget for years NSW has been putting up with all sorts dirty crap of players like Hodges and Smith. There hasn't been a retaliation like Gallen's last night. The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

Well said, KB.
Myles has always been a niggling cheap shot merchant & he got stood up last night. About time.
That short left was nice. Just boys having fun.
Was nice to see Smirky & crew with a very puzzled & frustrated look on their face.
