    NRL Speedsters who is the quickest?

    A lot of discussion has been brought up in the wake of Jennings being caught by Johnson.

    I thought I start a thread on the topic of who is the quickest in the NRL

    I thought I have a few categories in so please tell me your thoughts as I am interested to know what you think (as I dont have foxtel anymore I dont get to see as many games)

    - Over 100 metres.......my pick Koriebeate followed by the Fish

    - Over 60 metres........my pick David Mead or K Gordon

    - Over 10-40 metres.........my pick Jennings or Mead


    And who is just 'football fast on the field' (eg Slater might not be in the quickest in a sprint anymore but his anticipation and the way he reads the game makes him 'football fast')...my football fast player now is Benny Barba.

    100 definitely George Rose.

    60 definitely Wontee Mason.

    10-40 definitely Martin Luther Kennedy.

    Footy Fast definitely Mini covering the rolling ball.

      I was thinking of George Rose and Mini haha.....your prize is a footy fast Mobility Scooter which Mini used in scoring his try against Parramatta. The only problem was that he pranged it doing donuts in the carpark celebrating his try...sonow its a wreck....

        Lol, I will fit in on The Tweed, I'm sure it's the mobility scooter capital of Australia, plenty of Mini-car smash repairers.

        Not making light of people's disabilities mate, there are a lot of cashed up oldies up here and they really like to soup up their mini-cars.

        This one old dude used to roll past my place daily with his Easts flag proudly flying. Haven't seen him for a long time now, hope he's OK.

          Haha. I'd love to see that race.

          Speaking of races, I remember this from a few years back.

          If it was run today, I'd probably say Gordon...

            Fast carnts.

            IMO if its to be done properly the should be two races one without the footy and one with it.

            Would be interesting to see the difference in pace and who can carry a footy closer to top speed.

              My step-dad wants to soup up his one...to win the Drags at the local Coles.

              Yes I hope the old digger you are talking about is ok. I used to know an old bloke down here when I used to live out near Plumpton a few years back. He religiously every morning used to go to the local Maccas for breakfast in his mobility scooter with his Rooster flags on display.....he was pushing 85 and was a champion bloke

                Didn't a Rugby bloke win that race?.....Lachie Turner. Hayne finished second and had a poor start...Inglis was blown away but may have been injured and carrying some extra kilos.

                    Hehe, that was when Inglis looked like he swallowed a sheep. I reckon today's speedsters would be, Kevin Gordon, Fergurson, Edrick Lee, Jennings, RTS, Uate, Dylan Walker and James Roberts.

                      RTS hasn't got much speed really, Korobiete is the fastest for mind.

                        Ben barba the fastest over the first ten and twenty metres which is what really matters in footy.

                            Rubgy players finishing first and second. lachie turner isn't even the fastest rugby player out there anyway.

                            imo in the nrl, there are a few that I cant really split. korobeite, the fish, Jennings to name a few.
