Channel 9 Commentator ?

Just been watching the Ch 9 replay of the Warriors & Broncos.
I missed the start of the coverage and was wondering who the commentator was ?
Didn't recognise the voice at all ...but thought he was pretty good. Much rather listen to him than Hadley ...come to think of it, think I'd prefer him to Rabbits as well !

When was the last time a former player actually became a caller ? There are plenty ex players, but they are all co-commentators providing 'expert' comments or analysis but they don't actually call the game.
I think maybe the last one I can think of who actually called the games was Graeme Hughes ?

It was Matt Thompson. Apparently he's been doing some of the QLD Cups games for 9.

It was a nice change from Hadley on a Sunday, but I still prefer Vossy. Not sure why they got rid of him.

Raaaaaaaaaaay Hadley hates Voss.

Raaaaaaaaaaay is also best mates with Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabs.

So Voss was sent to Siberia.

Shame cos it would be hard to find a handful of people who prefer the Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaays over Voss calling a game.

But Ch9er aren't known for giving the RL public what they want.

Voss is a prick that thinks he is Ray Warren but doesn't have medically classified senility as an excuse.

I think you are hard pressed to find worse commentary in any sport than Ch9 commentary and Voss was the worst of the worst.

But Ch9er aren't known for giving the RL public what they want.

If Ch9 gave people what they wanted, they would have let 7 or 10 get the RL rights

Hadley calls the footy like its the gg's ! plus he is an first rate ahole.The Rabs and Gus show is predictible and boring .That leaves us with Voss ,who I personally think has some sense of humour which is at least a bit original .

Vossys been relagated to league video games like my kids 'rugby league live 2' he's been teamed up with Gus. My young bloke was playing it the other day & I could hear Vossy, then all of a sudden Gus chimes in with "no no no no no no".
