    Anybody watch the Raiders game?
Young Milford played the game at FB and has a step to rival RTS. Doesn't have footwork as good as RTS (nobody in the NRL does), but he still possesses more than enough to beat the defense.
I've been watching Milford play off the bench and after seeing him now at FB, he's probably the closest I've seen that I can compare to RTS in evasiveness.
There aren't any players with RTS' all-round skill-set though, i.e:
    Catching bombs
Catching bullet passes from SBW (above head and below the waist heights)
Beating defenders with footwork and strength

Yes he is good, would make a great centre for us, but no chance of picking him up unfortunately.

You're slipping if you think this is your "rude" persona.

        Try harder.

I don't really have to try at all to be a rude carrnty, Fitty.

          It comes naturally.

Greedy, you more then anyone should know, that sarcasm is just a temporary refuse for a shallow wit, so relax mate, and take in a few deep breaths.

I fail to see where where the sarcasm was, Charcoal Chicken?

Your attempt to sound intelligent went out the window when you confused 'than' with 'then'.

Yes but Milford has the most important asset all the great fullbacks have, ball playing ability. Milford is an ex 5/8/ half which gives him the necessary ball skills to be successful at fullback, these days, you won't succeed at fullback without ball skills. Unfortunately, RTS falls short in this area, he has every other attribute except silky ball skills, and this is not a skill one can learn in a hurry, it comes with years of experience as a halve or playmaker. Inglis has just made the cut in this regard, and if it wasn't for the year or two he played 5/8 for the Storm, he wouldn't be the fullback he is today.

Milford's doesn't have a good ball playing game, he dominated the 5/8 position on his running game not his ball playing.

Fullback suits him to a tee because he doesn't have the ball playing skills to make it as a half, especially in the split halves structure that Canberra play.

I live in Perth and work with AFL nuts; and I like to talk a bit of league from time to time.

He has played in the halves all his career, he may not be a great player maker but he has the skills to make a good enough ball paying fullback. He can pass both sides, he can pass before and after the line, he can kick both general and short and he has a footy brain. RTS simply doesn't, he reminds me of mini when he first started out, Mini was fast strong and evasive but had no ball skills or footy brain. RTS would be great as a running fullback but he won't improve our spine as a third wheel for our playmaking strength.

You can get away with not being a very good ball player in the juniors, it doesn't mean much. I've watched him quite a bit this year and he struggles to even draw and pass, reminds me a lot of Ben Barba. Very good prospect but I certainly wouldn't call him a ball player by any stretch, not based on what he's produced in First Grade anyway.

I'd like to see more of RTS at fullback before passing final judgment on his ball playing ability but I have no doubt he's got the ability to be a far superior link man than Mini is but based on what I saw in the 20's he probably lacks the vision to ever be a good ball player. With strong halves & SBW a good link man is all we need at the moment. Most sides compensate with a creative fullback because their halves lack ball playing ability, we essentially have 3 very good playmaking options at the moment. RTS fits in perfectly... when Mini retires.
