Meh they had a lucky season in my view... I never saw them play impressive footy, all the calls just went their way and they won more than their fair share of 50/50 situations.
End of the day, their players are crap:
- Darius Boyd was an asshole to the media
- Big Dell's a coke addict whose seen his prime
- Poore's leaving
- Soward's a cocky young bloke who looked good because the team was winning... did nothing though
...
Won't list them all, but they just assumed they were gonna win, and over-rated a bunch of crap players just because they were winning.
I think they experienced the opposite to us. Our good players looked crap because they were losing... their crap players looked good because they were winning. Especially big Dell & Soward... both put points on the board, but played ordinary football.
For next season I take this as a positive because our guys will be more open to criticism and be looking to improve over the off-season. Guys like Soward will continue to think they're quality... and will only wake up once the team's losing and people are saying "Dell's some old, slow, clumsy bastard... like he was for the Wallabies when they sacked him, and Soward's got no idea... hasn't improved since he was a Rooster... just the team around him improved, so he was suddenly kicking lots of penalties and conversions."

At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.

The fireworks at the Easter show are making more noise than the crowd tonight

I remember Fitzy saying in the media that the reason why the Roosters chose to sign Pearce over Soward was for the simple fact that under pressure, he couldn't deliver. I guess he was right.
We'll see I guess...
This season I think he showed he can TBH... he kept trying even when the team was royally ****ED! Down 50-0 every week, and even in the last 5 minutes you'd see him going for intercepts, hustling the opposition and keeping them 1/2 honest.
Now imagine that heart when the team's actually winning... that's my take at least...
Pearce has got something Soward doesnt have...ticker.
Exactly. If you watch Soward closely, he doesn't really put his body on the line when tackling. Compare him to Pearce who throws his entire body into the tackle no matter how big. This kid's got plenty of heart, something that Soward is yet to show.
