I'm starting to gain an understanding of what it must be like being a vermin supporter. How more haven't necked themselves after having to wait 40 odd years for a trophy is beyond me. Oh well, 1 more year for us frustrated blues fans

NSW loses every year and probably won't get a chance to beat any of the current squad back (aside from DCE and that fat Canberra lard@ss.)

Would there be merit in calling QLD the winners and scrapping Origin for another fixture?

It's really boring and frustrating now. 8 In a row!!!

QLD called it a farce after 3. I can't imagine NSW getting 8 in a row ever. It's an unbreakable record.

Sorry to be a sore loser, but I can't congratulate QLD. They had the better team in every position and won by 2 points. Us playing our best with a worse team did absolutely nothing.

Really what did QLD achieve and do we need to let them win 10? Scrap Origin... sick of it. QLD played poorly and still won...

Fun fun seeing QLD fans get all cocky and dance around 3 times a year then brag for the rest of the year.

When do we start questioning scrapping it? QLD started that discussion after 3 losses... after 8 we still haven't.

I really hate how bloody slow the Refs allowed the rucks as it really plays into QLD's hands in my opinion, we got some really fast play the balls in the 1st game and did well but the second and third games were horrible for it. In saying that our options in attack were woeful and we made far too many mistakes.

As a Qlder, i've always loved the 'original' concept of SOO...
Players playing for the state in which they were born (or as were the rules, played their 1st senior footy)...
After years of Qlders representing nsw & belting the crap out of us,players were able to stand tall & represent our state...

That requirement seems to have been long forgotten , probably due to the success of RL in Aust...
Some of the best players in the game weren't born in either state(even Aust), so boundaries have been extended to accomodate...
RL fans wanted to see the best players in the toughest of toughest games...
Suddenly, the fact that they weren't born in either state (Aust) didn't matter...
Both states searched for teenage talent that could later be exploited (for the good of the game)...

QLD squad is ageing & the tide will once again turn to NSW (consider the lower grade interstate games that NSW are dominating)...
I know that when i visit this forum then, i will be swamped by comments & ridiculed on how poor we are...
I can't however say that i've ever seen excessive gloating(cockiness) by any north of the border on this site in the time i've been here...
As a long time Roosters supporter, born & bred in Bris, i love nothing more than living here for a week after a win over the locals...I don't gloat or rub it in (too much) as what goes around, comes around...Some supporters at work deserve it though, yet i refrain...

As for Qld playing poorly & NSW playing their best, i disagree...
Qld won due to defense & pressure applied, & took the few opportunities given, but the mistakes that NSW made in attack(they had enough chances)cost them dearly...Had this been a Roosters game, many on here would've blamed the penalty count, but NSW won that...(8-4)
Roosters this year have won games through determination & defense even though perhaps they weren't the best team on the day...
Attitude plays a major role determining winners & losers as our last few years have proved...

As for 'letting' us win 10 in a row,not an issue...
P.s...As a fan, a better/worse team, regardless of talent, still only has to win by 1 to win...

It will probably be two more years as the Cane Toads will get two games up st Lang Park(Suncorp Stadium) next year.
