I think the Burgess sin bin is only considered an over reaction if you compare it to Cooper Cronk's non sin binning the other week. After the outcry from that, the ref's were always going to compensate back the other way.
The tiger player last night makes a bust, out in the open, tackled by Squirrel Sam, who then rolls over and knocks the ball off ..... I think Im one of the few who thought the ref was justified in sin binning him for a professional foul ... based on how they used to interpret the rule. So long as they are consistent with that rule and don't moth ball it after a couple of weeks !
