Ridiculous notion. Imagine getting a rematch every time the refs stuff up! The season would last for 3 years!

I am sure Manly would be hoping for a rematch.

What a dumb idea. It was a **** up, it's done and dusted, shit happens in footy matches. There was something like 70 min to go in the match. How many errors did the cowboys make in that same period? Whenever you have human beings involved directly In any sport you are going to get errors.

Did you want to replay matches during the regular season that refs made huge **** ups in? What makes them any less important to this match? Some teams could have forced there way into a semi spot.

No but our game against Melbourne this year well that's another matter altogether.

One of the Cowboys coaches knew straight away that the Sharks had an extra tackle.

Why after consulting with the officials, could the ref not just say we are taking 4/6 points of the sharks score.

I think the NRL are a disgrace. Some of the clubs need to get together and find a way to bring some accountability back into our game.

My idea would be to refuse to talk about anything other in press interviews except to highlight with evidence all the inconsistencies in refereeing that seems to favour some teams. If 5/6 clubs were prepared to do this, it might rock the boat enough for something to be done.

              call me crazy!!

Having a chat to an older eels supporter today said they used to replay non result, monumental screw up decision games on the tues night up till 20 years ago, apparently parra played three times in one week! That's a bit hectic but I still question why it wasn't fixed at half time? What repercussions would that of had? We already know the other side of the story. Poor cows....

They knew about Brett Morris having both feet in touch moments after it happened in the 2010 GF. Never a thought about going back and taking the opening try off the Stains in that match.
It's unfortunate for the cowboys, but I don't see this as any different than a ref awarding a try after missing a forward pass, or a knock on, or not correctly grounding a football.

No they don't owe them a match but those involved should be shamed live on TV

As for a solution to tackle counts and knowing that it hasn't happened for many years, there could still be a simple solution to assist the refs and inform the players and public. Much like they do on the NFL where a guy is on the field with a sign telling everyone what 'down' it is, maybe the scoreboard could display the number of tackle. If they are in communication with the refs as they all are, maybe a person should be keeping count with the ref. Of course you introduce this and then they get it wrong one time and we are back to square one.

I agree But now it is done and dusted The fools who lost count of what tackle it was must be sacked

I can assure you replays have never happened due to bad refereeing decisions. If they did then there would be replays left right and centre and the players would be unable from both teams to backup the following week.
