Manly can definitely beat Souths, but I have a sneaking suspicion that their uncharacteristically "disciplined" performance against us on Saturday (conceding just a couple of penalties each half) will not be repeated against Souths. The last time Manly played Souths the penalty count was 10-5 the Vermin's way.

I want to see how well the Vermin go when they don't get their weekly welfare cheques from the referees. They rely heavily on a bash, barge and kick strategy that depends on free field position that is given to them. If they are ever required to actually work for field position they would be in big trouble.

Roy Masters is an old decrepit fool, he stuck it into uncle Nick and his perceived power in the NRL on numerous occasions, he has a dislike for rich owners of successful clubs. I remember he had it in for Manly because they were experiencing success under the Delmege ownership, he also has a dislike for Russell Crowe (but who doesn't) after he took on and won against Roy's good mate George Piggins. Roy is all about the status quo, he doesn't like change and certainly doesn't like teams who experience success on the back of power and wealth.

That's what we said about Storm and Souths, that Souths could not possibly beat the Storm. Unfortunately, Souths will easily account for Manly or Sharks, they will grow a lot of confidence from beating their bogey team the Storm. I'm more worried about our game against more than likely the Storm, if they beat the knights convincingly then they will be very tough to beat the following week.
