Hadley has been discussing this incident on 2GB this morning.
He detailed the incident as follows [details confirmed by Rothfield whom he interviewed on air about 10am today];
Para; "At a 7.40pm two young men, both small in stature, one about 60kgs, were walking thru Cronulla mall near Maccas when one of the young men called out to Todd Carney and his mate "Go the Sharkies". The man Carney was with then approached the two young men and invited them to hit him, they declined. Allegedly the man with Carney then struck both young men in the face, breaking the jaw of one and either the same young man or the other one lost some teeth.
Seeing Carney start to approach the scene of the alleged assault, Wade Graham escorted Carney away from the scene.
Wade Graham was alleged to be in the company of another Cronulla player.
Carney and his mate then moved on to Northies niteclub/bar/pub [or whatever it is] and were reportedly drinking there for several or more hours.
The two young men then contacted the police, who allegedly went to Northies to interview Carney and his mate."
Then Hadley seemed to launch into a scathing attack on Todd Carney, calling for the NRL's Integrity Unit to get involved...and he detailed all Carney's sins, including when he was banned from Goulburn etc.
He then mentioned Todd Carney, no ambulance being called, the concealing of a serious [assault, incident, crime or something, I forget his exact words] and that the maximum prison sentence for concealing such a thing is 14 years.
He mentioned Carney's problems with alcohol [he might have said 'alcoholic' I'm not sure].
He then said that he played "like a busted" in the game against the Knights.
Then at about 10.15am an older man [not I] rang in...obviously one of the 'Sons and Daughters of the Southern Cross' rights and liberties brigade/Eureka Oath written in blood long ago devotees...and said to Hadley para; "If Todd Carney should've rung an ambulance [and not concealed the alleged assault], then why shouldn't Wade Graham have?"
Hadley, obviously not liking this man's opinion said to him; "Wade Graham is a cleanskin, we should be concentrating on the one with form, Todd Carney".
14 years in prison for Todd Carney, for "concealing a serious [assault, offence or whatever]"?
Hmmm.
His trial should be interesting.
I can picture it now... a brass band parading up and down outside the court singing the uptempo version of the Battle Hymn of the Republic, the gospel song "Will The Circle be unbroken", and reciting the Eureka Oath.Last edited by bondi-boy; 03-31-2014, 11:30 AM.

Initially Hadley said that only one young man was allegedly punched by Carney's friend, then later he said it was both of them.
So which is it?
If only one, then the other one could've called an ambulance.
No mobile phones? Maccas was nearby.
Carney wasn't involved in the alleged incident, so why was it his sole reponsibility to call an ambulance?
Maybe the alleged victims had walked away, down the road to the police station? who knows.Last edited by bondi-boy; 03-31-2014, 06:59 PM.
