I would agree with you that something needs to be done in terms of rewarding clubs for bringing players through and keeping them and some system of salary cap discounting should certainly be applied. And Gallop has failed in that area, no doubt. Almost as much as he's failed with regards to allowing Robert Finch to continue running the refs.
Having said that, the salary cap absolutely must be retained. Somewhat ironically, if there was no salary cap, or if it was drastically increased, the Roosters would go broke. The salary cap saves them from themselves
As for players going to England, **** 'em. There's always new players coming through, it's generally only the just about washed up who go there, and the young stars know that going there (or France, or to Union) might get them some more cash, but will detract from the reputation and standing they will be left with when their career is over. Nothing beats playing in the best comp in the world. There'll always be a few who'll want to take the cash. Let them go, they're no loss
Fair dinkum if you had half a brain you would be dangerous......

Gallop has done more for Rugby League than you could imagine given your lack of brains cells.
Expanded the code.
Signed a record TV deal.
Increased the cap.
Kept all clubs in the comp during his tenure.
Fronted up after each and every bad headline.
You hate Gallop, but unfortunately halfpint, that's not enough to warrant his sacking. Neither is the half arsed bulllshit you think warrants it.
In fact, Gallop will be offered a 3-5 year contract as the CEO of the new independant commission to run Rugby League. He must be doing something right in the eyes of thoses that know, really know, what's best for the game.
Which obviously doesn't include farkbrains like you.
Chook.

Whilst a lot of duds head off to England, a lot of players go before their time is up.. Look at the dross we had running around for us last year.
Increase the TV rights = more ads, higher Pay TV cost, not something I want.
Why do the players need a salary increase ? They get more than enough as it is, the market for RL is not big enough to pay them any more. I believe you have to pay them with what the market supports.
AT the moment clubs are drastically reducing funding and there is no money for country league.
If there is any increase in revenue then NONE of it should go to the players, it should go to development especially in country RLThe Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

If a higher price can be obtained, then of course some of that increase will find its way to them

They get more than enough money based on the market, the development and country league deserve the money more than any player.
It probably will mostly go to the players, but it shouldn'tThe Internet is a place for posting silly things

Yes,
I presume you were looking for some Marx brothers type interaction.
Left hook, right jab and so forth.
Unfortunately, I see you as predictable as Mike Tyson circa 2003.
Which probably explains the sentiments towards the Leagues "highly capable" CEO. I see you as the type of person that grabs a polaroid of David Gallop with that highly sexual "furrow" and head to your warehouse shelf packing toilet in your allotted time for a lunch break performing self denigrating acts.
The political garbage that takes up a lot of your time contributing to this site alludes me to a man who has far too much time on his hands for the "real" issues. These issues for a man of your capabilities include a)sex fantasies involving David Gallop b) constructing banners that political time wasters have erected in their front yard during election times c)confronting your employer for a 50c per hour wage rise so you can stop feeling cheated out of the true vocation. This vocation is a full time scout leader.barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!
