The halves as a combination were average. Reynolds is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm and I thought he was pretty good. Hodkinson's performance was average at best. If Pearce produced that sort of performance the critics would be baying for his blood. He is one of the least threatening 7's in the competition with ball in hand. Will be really interesting to see what they do if Reynold's is out for the next game. I wonder if they might play Pearce at 6 with Hodkinson at 7. They may even just pick Bird at 6 and hope to out muscle Qld again.

I thought the game was average and the only thing that did make it exciting was that qld was in it and attacking up until the last play. Our forwards were rubbish merrin tamou lewis watmough passengers... I didnt see a halfback and FMD if Reynolds is a SOO5/8s bootlace.

The halves went ok, their task made easier by Cronk having to leave the field,, but more importantly, it has been the only time in years, NSW actually dominated in the forwards, making the job much easier for the halves, Pearce, and to a lesser extent Maloney never had the advantage of playing behind a dominate pack.

Well looks like the judiciary has solved that delemia - what a joke 3-6weeks in normal round, seems they only want to make a point if someone is injured or crippled, not a good message .

Great win because it was at Lang Park and in the 100th Origin with Arties jumper retired.

But it was 1 nil last year and we lost the series.

In fact we won a live game the last three seasons with PearceOrf at 1/2.
