From memory Carney was offered a number of different counsel/rehab opportunities at the Roosters and refused to contemplate attending any of them because he felt he didn't have a problem. One of the main reasons the club in the end decided to cut their losses.

You can't help someone who doesn't believe they need it. And that is Carney in a nutshell. And the sad thing is, his family have always defended the bloke to the hilt and never encouraged him to take responsibility for his actions or seek assistance for his issues.

Carney has no one to blame but himself for what he has lost. He will blame anyone and everyone because that's what he always does. The NRL are well rid of him and hopefully never register another contract for him again.

If another code or overseas comp want to take him on, they can do it at their own risk.

Is 28 still considered a kid these days???

I find it interesting Carnteys manager Riolo is screaming from the rooftops the Tardpoles and The NRL have some responsibility to look after this egg.

As his long term manager surely he has the biggest responsibility to look after his meal ticket???

          Strange world we live in.

And Jim that is some sorta GOLD.

I dont think 28 is a kid However I think it is about up to that age where young people can still make poor mistakes and choices Once you get past that age and cant turn things around you are well and truly ****ed

Yea fair enough, but when you have kids aged 30 and you are 62, the term kid seems to fit for a 28 year old, just terminology...
