  • Blocker sacked from 2GB

Anyone find it ironic that Steve Roach has been sacked from the imbecilic continuous call team for bullying and yet Hadley still remains? Some rules for Hadley and Jones..different rules for others. Time for Bondi-boy to defend his faves Jones and Hadley?

The arrogance starts at the top and has a trickle effect through everyone. I can't understand why anyone under 25 would work for redneck radio 1.

The NRL is full of irony. (ASK JWH)
And its been controlled by the media a lot longer than people think.

I wonder if what constitutes a good game on the field works the other way.?

if blocker gets a gig at another station ill listen to them instead, I do enjoy big maan, but he grates a bit after a while, I still bristle when crooked fulton comes on, can never forgive him for what he did to our sides, as for red neck maestro Hadley he's just a disgrace

          Where was Blocker's warning?
Aren't you supposed to get 2 warnings before being sacked?

Thought Blocker was tight with Hadley...so much for 'loyalty'.
There must be more to this than meets the eye.

Of course, in cases like this it's always depends where you stand in the pecking order in the organisation...and how valuable or expendable you are to it.

Don't think Jones and Hadley make the final decisions at the station.

              More than meets the eye, seems to be;

              http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/l...28-109h55.html

A source with knowledge of the altercation said the 52-year-old responded with a heated outburst to an innocuous comment by the staffer, before then turning his rage towards a senior member of the commentary team when they jumped to the defence of the producer.

Roach then had a fiery exchange the next day with long-time caller and Continuous Call team host Ray Hadley in a meeting before that program went to air, and was absent from the show when it began at midday after being stood down for a day.

He returned to the airwaves 24 hours later for the Sunday version of the program. The Herald was told that Roach issued an apology to the employee he had abused on the Monday, only for an official complaint to subsequently be made to management about his behaviour.

The station's decision was believed to be partly motivated by a desire to take a strong position against bullying after Hadley himself was embroiled in a high-profile episode last year. Hadley settled for an undisclosed amount after claims he bullied and harassed 2GB's website manager but did not lose his job.

              #####

              Wrong time, Mr Blocker.

Rage and anger only lead to big trouble most of the time.
Oh well, another friendship bites the dust...sad really.

Alan Jones...still no1 patriot and king of radio.

Pity the people shown on the 9 News tonite hadn't been listening to Alan Jones and his campaign against coal seam gas mining.
The coal seam gas mines are right on their doorstep [existing homes], and they had no idea they were there.
Now they're in tears about their children's future.
