  • Respect where its due

All the best to Nathan Meritt. Like Mini these types of players are becoming a lesser in the NRL, hard to finish a 1 team player..

Sort of agree - though he did spend 2 years at sharks 2004 and 05.

Mini didn't set the world on fire?

Between 2003-2005 he was a marvel.

ahhh...I meant Merritt didn't set the world on fire, like Mini did. I would have thought the comma would have explained that I meant that Mini 'DID; set the world on fire...

                  The blues will miss Merritt.

                    I respect him.
He's done something I could never have done, even if I'd wanted to.
I would say he's had a great, if not brilliant, RL career..with which he should be well satisfied as he looks back.

My favourite memory of him is Round one in 2010 at Homebush..

For the early part of his career at Souffs, Cronulla then back to Souths he was without doubt in my opinion the worst player I had seen in the NRL.
But credit to him he turned himself into an average NRL player, quite a feat considering how bad he was.
