He doesn't want to be labeled as another SBW walking out on a contract, and he doesn't want to betray parra by going to another club so he sees leaving the NRL as the only option.
Weather he makes it in the NFL remains to be seen, but i'll bet he's back in the NRL next year just not for parra.
No whats predictable is the way people can be trolls because they have nothing but envy. I don't think anyone can say he'll be successful but the fact he's having a go I commend him. What are the odds you'll be wanting for him to fail? That's predictable! Now go back to your green envious world.

Looks like people haven't heard that Hayne signed an agreement that he will only play for the Eels if he returns to the NRL.
This is not your dummyspit or goldbricking change and I wish him all the best.

All this crying over players leaving is rubbish. There are more than enough players to keep the game going. I doubt there are enough referees or administrators that are good enough to run the game properly though.

The big problem with RL is that a significant number of people are not going to stop watching it, not matter how crap the game gets people still want to see their team. Until the fans walk, CH9 will continue to dish up crap as will the NRL administration.
They are under no pressure to give us a great product. They are only under pressure to have players that do no misbehave.
The time is quickly coming where there will be no footballers just these big athletes playing a sterile game that appeals to puppet masters like Bellamy

The same way you commended Ian Thorpe.. Seriously though the only thing that will hold Hayne back will be himself, the Yanks love the land down under and Hayne certainly has the ability. Hope he kills it!

Yeah but we want to see the JT's, Hayne's, SBW and do i dare to say BBBB urge arse...? It' takes time to create a superstar of the game and losing them does take it's toll on the game. As for the agreement of ONLY playing for the Eels...Is that as binding as Marshall's promise never to play against the Tigers? I wish Hayne the best and would hope that sometime in the next 2 years, we get to see him on the field touching the ball all those ... 2 times.

What is it that the NRL are doing that's so wrong? Apart from the refereeing I would say the game has never been in better shape.

money is not a motivation whatsoever for hayne. if he makes the practice squad, my guess for the Seahawks, will be making 100k a year. if he does make the 53 roster, ill be watching. one of my favourite players in the game
was born a sydney roosters fanatic

I am forever grateful to Hayne for announcing his attempt at NFL.

He managed to take the Vermin stories off the front and back pages of the press and leading stories on the news.

Thanks mate and BTW good luck. I wish you all the best.
