We'll coast into the top 4.

We're so much better than the Bongos and Panthers in ain't funny.

So what's with all the early pessimism I'm sensing? Although granted Trewhella is normally gloomy

I believe we will have another strong season. But I also agree with Broncos doing very well. With boyds experience and milfords flair, they are already a better team. But if Ben Hunt continues with his current form, he will have the biggest influence on their season.
I am super excited to see how we fair next season.

I see Penrith having a let down & both Penrith & the Broncos finishing about 6th or 7th

Penrith made the top 4 purely on the back of a staggeringly easy draw.

They won't be so lucky twice in a row.

Ivan Cleary is a better coach than 13 other 1st grade coaches so no matter what Penriths draw is they will be in the top 4 maybe even a premiership next year. They are the only team in the comp that is a champion team not a team of champions.

Aside from us of course, I'm keen to see JT do well with Wests Tigers and think he will.

I have a feeling though that they will be a better club without Robbie Farah pulling the strings...whenever that may happen.

The only thing that cruelled Penrith this year was injuries. Wallace and the Grommit (Elijah...if you knew him, you'd know) going down hurt and Jamal Idris dropping his lollies didn't help either.

Cartwright looks a genuine star in the making and he was also injured. I like the look of yeo as well. They'll be top 4 no doubt. Not sure broncos aging pack is up it to it though. Or if hunt can continue his brilliance.

A lot of love for Penrith.

Can someone tell me one area of the field where they're better than us?

3/4s? No. Halves? No. Front row? Lol Backrow? No. Hooker? No. Fullback? Maybe.

That pathetic loss to them thanks to our disgraceful effort, the disgraceful Casty no try and some flat out blind luck seems to have misled a lot of people.

Agreed, i honestly don't see them doing as well this coming year. Another team i see not doing anywhere near as good is Souths, with Sam, Teo and Auva'a out i see them finishing at 6

the night the riff beat us by a point i saw the completion stats in the program. interestingly i recall they were leaders or if not leaders by only 1 % for completion rates so that with their easy draw last season contributed to their success.

Penrith outperformed us by playing for the full 80 minutes and not throwing stupid passes. No real superstars in their team means they know they all have to work hard because no one is going to pull a miracle play out of their ass. The team they beat us with was a second string team for them and yes, player for player there isn't a better roster in the nrl then us. But that's not always enough. I think Penrith have the right attitude where sometimes we appear to play with arrogance and disregard for the opposition.
