If the Vermin are imploding they're doing a good job of hiding it. They won the 9's and will the World Club Championship with a leg in the air.

Yep not to mention they will be incredibly hard to beat again this year for the title. I can see them going back to back.
Loved by few, hated by many, respected by all.

I don't think they're going to go back to back, it's hard enough without getting rid of your 2 best forwards.

It all depends on two things. Mitch Ross and the NRL's cash incentive from the Chinese investments in Barangaroo.
          SUPER DRAGON!

Absolutely - particularly if they again get a net 102 penalty advantage over us like they did in 2014.

For me it's the consistency. The fact that Todd Carney was booted and Robert lui wasn't is disgraceful. Todd Carney is a genuine wanker but he isn't malicious. If the league is serious about violence against women it would impose more serious sanctioning for domestic violence. Apart from that, I'm of the belief that most players all deserve another chance(s) provided they pay their dues.
Yeah the NRL Integrity unit at its finest.

Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but spare a thought for Pearcey at the moment. The bloke hardly did anything wrong this year, yet was flashed all over the news, fined 20k, suspended from a match and lost his origin jersey. Yet Sutton and Luke Burgess were thrown in jail, charged and yet the incident was completely covered up and only came out due to suspicions about Sutton losing the captaincy. And apart from that, neither of them have copped anything close to what Mitchell did. Sutton will play round 1 and was even named captain of a trial this weekend, whilst Burgess was handed a fresh start at a new club.

What a joke, from both Souths and the NRL

The NRL Integrity commission has now re-opened the Sutton -Burgess incident claiming "new information" - AKA we've been sprung.

I was thinking the same thing. Pearce made a lewd comment to a woman and was tarred and feathered. The "Pride of the League" players left a young bloke in a pool of blood and it's a case of "move on, nothing to see here".

Glad to see that the NRL has caved in to pressure and is looking at the case again. And unlike last year's incident - when Auva'a ran amok and was charged with recklessly causing injury and criminal damage - this time they might not wait until the Vermin win the comp before they act.

                        http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-02-1...cident/6085166

'The NRL has announced it will reopen its investigation into the conduct of South Sydney Rabbitohs players John Sutton and Luke Burgess after details emerged of the incident which saw them detained by Arizona police in November.'

                        ---

Hopefully the NRL cracks down hard on this kind of $hyte. I see a few problems:
                        1) 'The police report of events, obtained by Fairfax Media, revealed Burgess had left a security guard bloodied after throwing him to the ground and fighting with him.'

... and they're not gonna register Packer's contract for St Merge? Only difference in the crime IMO is that Burgess had Russ to come and sweet talk the cops + get them off IMO.

                        2) 'The Rabbitohs initially did not disclose the reasons for Sutton's axing.'

So Souffs didn't even report the matter and hoped it would go away?

                        3) The upshot IMO is that while we've been humbled by 2015 and have been training hard for 2015... Souffs have been running amok and acting like d!ckheads.

Good time for us to get ahead and take advantage of Souffs' attitude. NRL will probably give them a slap on the wrist, but the rot will continue. Easts 2015!!!!

I hope we smash this $cum. GI and Auva'a with commuted sentences for bashing women. George Burgess with a criminal conviction for smashing some dude's car... another Burgess with scum on his name for bashing the $hit out of a security guard who told him to leave a club. Sutton spitting on the bar when told to leave. Try that $hit in Redfern or the Cross without Russ' protection and see how far you get!!!

Did Michael McGuire and Mitch Ross not think that taking a bunch of men who are only a few evolutionary tippy-toes above apes and filling them with steroids wouldn't have adverse consequences?

Could the Integrity Unit now open an investigation into how they were carried to a premiership by the referees and League Central last season....
