NRL referees boss Robert Finch says they will also closely monitor kick chasers who break the advantage line before the ball is kicked.

This focus on players who go “downtown” early on long kicks, is designed to protect fullbacks and wingers.

It really hurts teams whose kickers don't kick at the line as any player who is in front of the kicker and running downfield in any form could potentially break the advantage line and be penalised. It's an interesting rule which I believe will lead to a lot of teams just going the lazy option and kicking it dead against any team where they fear the fullback.

I dont rate Benji or the Tigers halves, but they should be big improvers with Souffs

Don't let your hate for teams cloud your judgment

Souffs is a hard one, they either will do real good, or fail, if they stay injury free they will do good,they have a good roster.I think with JT gone as their coach they will reach their potential.

Parra IMO will be up there,maybe not top 4 but they will do good, they reached their potential last year, and have gained some decent players.

Hope im wrong about both(Souffs mainly) but its hard not to see both teams have good teams.

I really doubt that Souths have a good roster.
Sure some of that thought is hope but

Look at two of their super stars in Sandow and Sutton. Two players that can play very well but just as often go missing, no consistency there.

Taylor, I have a feeling that this guy could turn out to be a myth, I don't think he has really proven himself yet and there was too much hype surrounding him. He could turn out to be brilliant but he may not.

I just don't think they really have a great roster, they could do well but lets hope not

Parra rode Hayne last season, won't happen again this season. Teams will be more effective in shutting him down plus he Isnt playing for a contract. Tahu is fragile, Poore was a beneficiary of playing in strong packs his whole life and Shack is no world beater.

The one they will be hoping on will be their no 7 Kris keating. Mark my words, this kid is a gun and has much better qualities than Mortimer whose balls are firmly lodged in the medias mouths lately.

The Keating brothers are more of a key to Parras season than the ones who seem to be getting that credit.
