    1 Dogs.. Pretty good depth.

2 Dragons. Start a bit slowly and build up momentum.

    3. Melbourne.. They still have plenty of match winners.

4 Souths .... Shudder ( hoping for injuries to prevent this from happening)

    5 Titans

    6 Tigers

    7 Penrith

8 Eels will struggle with depth in the forwards, their top 17 are probably the best in the comp. Will be running 1st before City V Country.

    9 Manly

    10 Canberra

    11 Cowboys

12th Roosters too many inexperienced players in player group to be a force.

    13 Cronulla

    14 Warrriors

    15 Newcastle

    16 Broncos

I think the issue with Taylor was they had him earmarked as the new Webcke when he's more 'Carl Webb' than Shane Webcke. He's not your typical go-forward front rower which is what they wanted him to be so they kept sending him back to Qld Cup to get fitter so that he could lift his work rate.

He signed with Souths because they guaranteed him a spot in first grade, which the Broncos wouldn't do. Then in desperation Henjak picked him and told him to play out wide and bang! Next thing you know he's a human wrecking ball with skills similar to Artie Beetson.

        In no particular order:

Titans: Bird will give them the mongrel they have lacked
        Storm: Same old, same old
Saints: They will still be consistent
Eels: 2nd phase play will be the order of the day this year and these guys seem to be the best exponent of it.

Dogs: Should make the 8. Don't like their bench, if they retain last year's approach. Lack mongrel to go all the way. Need Conrad T. and Micky P. to stay injury free and make a difference.

Roosters: Smith will have them bouyant and as long as he has learnt from his Newcastle experience they should be near the 8. He needs to handle moving players on better this time around. Just don't have the depth across the park, so need to keep the top 20 relatively healthy for a top 8 spot.
pfft ... there goes the tipping career

ST George - Bennett has them well drilled and they will will the games they need too

Melbourne - Still defy the salary cap burden in the same manner that Brisbane have for so long......wonder what the common denominator is ???

Titans - I rate Carty as a coach and I think they are ready to really have a crack at the title and the NRL would love to see them win with AFL starting the following season

Penrith - They are my real dark horse this season I think after a rough few years they have built a nice culture out there and might be the real surprise packets.

The next 4 will be , again in no real order

Tigers - They have bought well and I can see it paying off for them, I do think they paid too much for Lote but if they stay fit in key positions they will be dangerous

Bulldogs - As much as I hate to say they will are a good team, no champions but very well drilled.

Parramatta - Probably similar to last season slow start but once they get going will win plenty of games. Cant see them being title contenders.

Canberra - Will finally scrap in, lots of good kids not sure about the coach though ???
            i knew.....
