Im really disappointed JWH is out, his aggression was going to be essential against Souths.
I hate to say this but i really think souths are in for a good year, their backs (apart from Sandow)were good last year, something like most tries scored, or points or whatever. If their halves don't perform then they will struggle.

In saying that i believe we will make the 8 this year, huge improvement.JWH and Carney will be great for us.Hopefully we start with a huge win round 1.

      What do you's think?
Honestly? Sam Burgess will be the first Pom Forward to really fail to deliver expectations. he wont be the sensation everyone thinks.

I hope we make top 8

... can't see us topping that

in 08, we overachieved; we should have never come 4th

My picks for top 4 are:
          1. Parramatta "Buy of the year will be Tamana Tahu"
          2. Cowboys "Big Willie has point to prove and will work well with Thurston"
          3. St George "Super coach will focus on attack in 2010"
          4. Tigers "Suprise team for 2010"

Then the final following teams to make the top 8:
          5. Melbourne
          6. Roosters "Big improvers in 2010 our time will be the following year"
          7. Bulldogs
          8. Souths

          Newcastle for Wooden Spoon!

What makes you say that? If he was playing for us this year you would say the opposite.

Yes he is unproven, but so are all young players who start out.

Newcastle or Manly for the spoon.

People always tip the Rabbits for a big one because apparently when Southhs are going well so is Rugby League...

They have good forwards and Luke is good. But I don't know what else.

Same with the Tigers, they are always tipped to make the 8 or even win the premiership, but they always fumble. They have only made one Top 8. I really don't know how Sheens is still there after only one finals appearance.

I tip for the Top 4...

              1. Eels
              2. Dogs
              3. Storm
              4. Dragons

                No one does.

And unfortunately for tigpies fans, Sheens recently made a comment guaranteeing a prolonged stay at the club. He mentioned that there was a clause in Benji Marshall's contract stating that if Sheens left, so could Benji

and the Tigers definitely don't want Marshall to go, so the tigers are blessed with Sheens prescence for all eternity...

you have to keep in mind that Souffs scored the most points in 2009

you couldn't ask for much more

Beau Champion and Eddy Pettybourne(Second Row) are two very dangerous players on the fringes

Dont be stupid. I would never rate him if he was at Easts. I rate JWH higher.

I also rate JWH higher because burgess is unproved in the NRL.

My Souffs supporting mate told me burgess played well today at their trial match, scored a try and put on few hits.He only played 15 mins or so but impressed.

Yep, for the time he was on, he played considerably well. There's no doubt he's a good footballer, but it'll be interesting to see whether or not he can actually match it with the best in the NRL.

Burgess will be good but he will need some time to adjust to the NRL. Morley was horrible in 2001 and lots of people were calling for his head back then. I would be amazed if Burgess has consistent impact this year.

Burgess is amazingly quick for a guy his size

                              Sadly, he'll be sensational

How is JWH proven in the NRL? He has played a handful of games, mostly of the bench.. I agree that he is a great prospect but let's keep it real.. Burgess I believe is also an awesome talent and I think whilst we may see it on an inconsistent basis this season, the sky is the limit for this guy.
