Just further to Chris' points, make sure you read the fine print re free bets. I used to work for iasbet.com some years back and with their "free bets", you don't get to keep the stake if you win. So you can't just put the bet on something short and keep the lot. If the free bet was $200, and you put it on something at $1.20 and it won, you only get the $40 winning amount, not the $240 (win and stake)

And one other thing Roosdaman, if you're going to start punting, my theory (for what it's worth) is this;

Punting is all about getting value. Just because you think a team will win a match, that's not enough of a reason to back them. You need to decide in your own mind what their actual chance if winning is, and then only back them if you can get a price over and above that. If you're taking $1.30 about teams who are really $1.50 chances, you'll be losing heavily in the long run. Conversely, if you consistently take overs, you'll be winning in the long run

You also need to understand percentages, and how to transpose a price into the actual percentage chance. Divide the number 100 by the price to get the percentage. If a team is at $1.40 to win a match, dividing 100 by 1.4 gives you 71.4 which says that price equates to the team being a 71.4% chance of winning

yeah, thanks for that, I understand, thought it was a good bonus anyway, I registered at centrebet too and asked the same question, they just said check their website, and sportingbet said it was illegal to offer bonuses to INTICE bettors, the sportsbet site seems easy to use so i will play there til the others offer something . Cheers for all the advice anyway.
