  • Souffs never learn

After last week's shellacking, the toothless vermin have hit the media again.

Ed Pettybourne is a good, honest prospect. Always plays hard, but...

Now they try and hi-jack the reporting of their abysmal effort with stories of "heroic" Ed playing with a broken jaw for 58 minutes. As ever, with their heads stuck in the past, the comparisons with Sattler in the 71 Grand Final have already started. John Lang is amazed at his heart and spirit. Ed stayed on because he wanted to help his mates.

Sattler was hit in the jaw by Bucknell. It was a GF! Souffs won the game.

Pettybourne banged into Lopini's knee. It was round 1. They lost!

The myth making department at the Bunnies needs to get a new scriptwriter. They keep on trying to draw parallels between Souffs the winning club and today's mediocre mercenaries.

They still haven't learnt. They should stop talking to the media about "superior" spirit and heart. Stop trying to sway emotional public opinion with sympathetic coverage. Win games and stop talking yourselves up.

    It'll do wonders.

        So true Fairy.

Youd think after selling their club to Phonechukka and Phacwitt theyd have learnt the modern game is different to the old local junior/chook raffle one.

They cant get over the deeds of the past cos its all they have, they havent come to terms with the way things are these days.

Ive tried to discuss this with many of the Souffs fans, very few dig.

They have that complex, everyones keeping us down. They cant see its their own mentality thats doing it, and that goes thru their club and supporter base.

They really need a coach, like Smiff or Sheens, someone analytical to take the old skool emotion out of the equation.

        The FlogPen .

        You know it makes sense.

Just waitng for the article telling us how Sandow suffered during the game because one of his shoe laces was slightly frayed.

BTW playing NRL with an injury like Pettybourne's is something that does require some ticker.

I had a funny thought imagine if Crowe paid someone to do it post game just to keep the "passion and pride" alive

These vermin scum get way too much oxygen from the media.

They are able to put out more spin than a Warnie flipper.

                  Crikey.

The balloon will be deflated even more when the Titans kick there arses again this weekend, I know they are normally pretty shithouse away from home, but they will demolish the wabbits, imagine what Bird and Prince are gonna do to Sutton and Sandpit. It will be beautiful to watch. The Titans are the same odds as us at Sportsbet, $2.15 straight, $3.50 1 to 12 and $5 13 plus, I think they are certainties, Souths are too dumb to learn from one flogging, they need at least another one to wake up from their dreamtime.

"Heart" and "Spirit" where the two things the vermin absolutely lacked last Sunday. Well, that and Skill. Pettibourne's jaw obviously soaked up the heart from the rest of the team.
