The current Storm CEO who was implicated was also at St. Kilda before the Storm.

They named the current CEO at the press conference as 1 of 2 very senior people at the club who knew and has now got the sack. I would love to know why they refused to name the other person?

He must have something to do with this all. The coach is responsible for the composition of the squad, he must have known what it takes to keep these players.

There is also the possibilty that certain players knew what was going on.
After all they must have been obtaining monies from the other source, and not from the official Storm paymaster. The Chairman of News Ltd said in an interview that the monied came from hospitality events organised after games in Melbourne and that $15,00.00 amounts were being siphoned off and passed onto players.

It has been said that the players knew what was going down so the coach would have been privy to the payments I'm sure.

One would question how they managed to hold such a roster of quality players, a lot of people have been saying for years they must be over the so called cap, Bingo!

Phil Gould's comments will be interesting in light of his recent article re the cap.

I think this will hurt the game hugely, a sad day indeed.

Just goes to show the NRL has become very much all about the money.

What more could you expect from a brand 50% owned by News Ltd.

The sooner the Independent Commission comes, the better.

I don't expect anything anymore. 7 weeks without incident was somewhat of a miracle!

Of course it does. I've worked there for 30 years. I know John Hartigan well and I know he has high moral standings. News had no idea this was happening, I can assure you.

Considering it's not the fans fault it's a bit heartless and kicking somebody when they are down
