    Gotta love a good scapegoat.

    Un****ingbelievable.

    How dumb are the masses?

Just like the dogs - don't waste my time telling me that most of the people in management and the players didn't know about it.

Can't wait to see how the players who signed two contracts explain themselves.

They are talking as if this was a genius criminal conspiracy. From where I am sitting it looks like amateur hour with a bunch of idiots running the show.

It explains to me why Smith fumbled the ball from dummy half 3 times last week and missed a sitter to tie the scores...his mind was elsewhere...

          It's just so scripted.

They own the club and would know where every cent is spent.

Not one Melbourne Storm official was at the press conference. All News Ltd and NRL officials.

The Independent Commission would have exposed all of this and this was their only way out.

I'm sure these scapegoats will get a nice superannuation pay out.

Couldn't agree more. Is anyone else feeling a little ill with the board, the coach and the players all getting indignant about working their asses off and earning those premierships??

They have won those comps in no small part due to being able to run the best hooker, best centre, best fullback and one of the top halfbacks in the game. They may have worked hard, but the decisive factor was the stockpile of top line players that they maintained through alleged fraud and brown paper bag dealings.

and they have the hide to get indignant and pretend they knew nothing about it!!

It can't have been all that amatuerish as it took 5 years to find

No second guesses where that payout will come from.

                  Chook.

There is no way that News Ltd did not know what was going on at the Storm. They wanted a Melbourne side to continue being in the comp, and made sure they were still successful being in an Afl dominated state.

All this crap that no one knew is utter bullshit. Someone let the cat out of the bag, and now Gallop, employed by News Ltd, is in damage control, that News Ltd funds in effect pushed them over the salary cap.

                      Crikey.

Gallop should have called a salary cap amnesty on Friday for all teams.

That would make for interesting reading.

THE former Melbourne Storm chief executive Brian Waldron has hit back at News Limited and the NRL for their involvement in the club's salary cap rorts, rejecting their depiction of him as the sole architect of the scheme.

I wonder why this story is not appearing in any News Limited papers this morning?

I hope Waldron does have something on News and I hope he makes it public. Can't wait to see the spin from the usual suspects from the DT.

                          Chook.

I love it even more when a scapegoat hits back.

Strap yourselves in - this is going to be a bumpy ride.
